What a great opportunity it is to be the president of NJAALNC! It’s a terrific organization whose members are consummate legal nurse consulting professionals with diverse backgrounds of talents and experiences.

The board is actively working to come up with ways to reignite the spirit of our dynamic organization. We realize that many of us are pulled in a million directions between life and work commitments, and that it is difficult to make time for everything. However, NJAALNC is a great organization that can be a tremendous way to learn more about the wonderful world of Legal Nurse Consulting, get answers to questions, network, brainstorm…the list can be endless. We need all of your enthusiasm, expertise, and ideas to assure that our organization will continue to be vibrant and grow.

We are working on adding lots of info and resources to our members only Yahoogroups.  If you have any favorite websites or other resources that you would like to share with us, please feel free to let me know.  You can also add them yourself if you have already registered on our Yahoogroup. By the way, as a member of our Yahoogroup, you can easily contact all the other NJAALNC members on the list by simply sending your email to: NJAALNC@yahoogroups.com.  You can use this to ask questions, share info or announcements, look for subcontractors…the sky is the limit! We now have a listing on Facebook as well. It’s pretty basic, but we’re there. If any of you have experience with some of the social networking venues, we would love to have your help in developing our presence out there!

Please mark your calendar for our fall meetings, which will be on Tuesday, 9/21/2010 and 11/9/2010, at the Rutgers Club.  I hope you are able to attend, to learn some great information, network, and to show your support for our amazing speakers and NJAALNC. Check our website calendar for more information. We are always looking for ideas for great speakers.  If you have any speakers you can recommend, or are interested in doing a presentation for us, please contact me, or any of the other board members.

I hope you can continue to support NJAALNC through membership and meeting attendance. Please consider helping on a committee or running for the board this winter.  Nothing like planning ahead! It’s also a great way to get involved in your Legal Nurse Consulting profession, and to get better acquainted with your colleagues. I feel very fortunate to be the President of this dynamic organization, and see it as an opportunity to find ways to encourage participation and promote the mission of NJAALNC.  I hope I can count on your ideas and support.
